Learn how to upgrade, downgrade, or change your Youth Coach Hub subscription.

Overview

You can change your subscription plan at any time from Team Settings. Whether you need more features, additional uploads, or want to scale back, plan changes are simple and take effect immediately for upgrades.

Upgrading Your Plan

When to Upgrade

Consider upgrading when you:

  • Need more monthly game uploads
  • Want multiple camera angles per game
  • Need longer video retention (90 days or 1 year)
  • Have more coaches joining your staff

How to Upgrade

  1. Go to Team Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Review the pricing and features
  5. Click Select to confirm
  6. Complete Stripe checkout

What Happens When You Upgrade

Immediate Effects:

  • New features are available instantly
  • Additional upload tokens are added
  • Higher limits take effect immediately
  • Storage extension applies to existing videos

Billing:

  • You're charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing cycle
  • Your next bill reflects the new plan price
  • Billing cycle date remains the same

Prorated Billing Example

If you upgrade mid-cycle:

  • Current: Basic plan (Free), 15 days into billing cycle
  • Upgrading to: Plus plan ($29/month)
  • Charge: ~$14.50 for remaining 15 days at Plus rate
  • Next month: Full $29 charge

Downgrading Your Plan

When to Downgrade

You might downgrade when:

  • Season is over
  • Budget constraints
  • Fewer coaches on staff
  • Don't need extra capacity

How to Downgrade

  1. Go to Team Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select the lower plan
  4. Review what changes
  5. Confirm the downgrade

What Happens When You Downgrade

At End of Billing Cycle:

  • New plan takes effect at your next billing date
  • You keep current limits until then
  • No prorated refunds

Capacity Changes:

  • Monthly upload tokens reduce
  • Camera angles per game reduce
  • Video retention period shortens

Important: All features remain available on all plans. Only capacity limits change between tiers.

Preserving Your Data

When you downgrade:

  • Videos within storage limit are kept
  • Analytics data is preserved
  • Playbook plays are kept
  • Tagged plays are preserved

Managing Upload Tokens

Understanding Tokens

  • Each plan includes monthly upload tokens
  • Tokens are split between team film and opponent scouting
  • 1 token = 1 game upload (any number of camera angles up to your limit)
  • Subscription tokens reset at each billing cycle

Checking Your Token Balance

  1. Go to Team Settings > Usage
  2. View tokens used and remaining
  3. See breakdown: team vs opponent tokens
  4. See reset date

Running Low on Tokens

If you're running out of tokens:

Option 1: Wait for Reset

  • Tokens reset at your billing cycle
  • Upload after the reset date

Option 2: Purchase Additional Tokens

  • Go to Team Settings > Usage
  • Buy tokens at $12 each
  • Purchased tokens never expire
  • Used after subscription tokens run out

Option 3: Upgrade Your Plan

  • Higher plans include more tokens
  • Upgrade takes effect immediately

Plan Change Scenarios

Mid-Season Upgrade

Starting with Basic, season gets busy:

  1. Upload limit becomes a problem
  2. Upgrade to Plus for more tokens
  3. New tokens are added immediately
  4. Continue uploading games

Post-Season Downgrade

Season ends, want to save money:

  1. Downgrade to Basic
  2. Keep access until next billing date
  3. New limits apply at renewal
  4. Videos within retention are kept

Need More Tokens This Month

  1. Go to Team Settings > Usage
  2. Purchase additional tokens ($12 each)
  3. Tokens are added immediately
  4. Never expire, used after subscription tokens

Canceling Your Subscription

How to Cancel

If you're on a paid plan and want to switch to Basic:

  1. Go to Team Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select Basic (Free)
  4. Confirm the change

What Happens After Switching to Basic

  • Change takes effect at end of billing period
  • You keep paid features until then
  • After switch: Basic limits apply
  • Videos beyond 30-day retention may be archived

Resubscribing

To upgrade again later:

  1. Go to Team Settings > Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select your desired tier
  4. Complete checkout

Common Questions

Will I lose my data if I downgrade?

Your data is preserved. All features remain available on all tiers. However, videos beyond your new retention period may expire after the downgrade takes effect.

Can I upgrade for just one month?

Yes, you can upgrade and then downgrade. The upgrade is prorated for the remaining days.

What if I need more than Premium offers?

Contact us about enterprise solutions for large programs.

Is there a penalty for changing plans?

No penalties for upgrading. Downgrades take effect at your next billing date with no refund for the current period.

Can I pause my subscription?

Downgrade to Basic (free) during off-season. Your data is preserved and you can upgrade when you're ready.
